The aftermath included: Lloyd Carr on the biggest hot seat ever, the AP poll letting lower divisions in, and, after the Wolverines looked like they were going to have a big season, they just got hit by a 300 pound lineman, and that's not easy to recover from.
The NCAA Committee of infractions has announced that Oklahoma university will take away two scholarships for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. These punishments are due to a scandal in which three players on oklahoma's team were payed for work that they didn't do.
Oklahoma will also have to dock its eight victories for the 2005 season and cannot recognize these wins in record books, any other media guides or anything else concerning oklahoma's history.
Paul Dee University of Miami's Athletic department said A lack of institutional control was neither charged by the enforcement division of the NCAA nor found by the committee," What was found by the committee was a failure to monitor, which is a lesser charge."
Oklahoma will appeal parts of the ruling. The scandal was centered on Former quarterback Rhet Bomar and guard J.D. Quinn.
Oklahoma however will not have to return any money from their bowl victory vs Oregon. Bob Stoop the Head Coach will have his record changed to 78-19 in eight seasons at Oklahoma.

Omaha Nebrasaka- The NCAA football commite led by Nebraska's Athletic director Scot Pederson has issued a proposal stating 5 years of elgibility instead of 5.
Nobody has yet jumped on the idea.
Barry Alvarez Wisconsin's Athletic director thinks it will create more team depth but will limit players opportunities.
